Dashboard & Navigation Menu

The Dashboard is the lightweight landing page you see when you open AstroManager.

It gives you a quick overview and serves as a simple jumping-off point into the parts of AstroManager where the real work happens.

What You See Here

The dashboard is intentionally simple:

  • client status information
  • saved DSO searches
  • an Astro fact widget
  • NASA APOD content

What Clicks Lead To

  • Clicking a client in the client status area takes you into Remote Control for that setup.
  • Clicking one of the saved DSO searches opens Deep Sky Objects with that saved filter applied.

The navigation menu is available throughout AstroManager and is the main way to move between the core work areas.

At the top of the menu, you see:

  • your account email address
  • your current subscription status
  • a direct link to editing your profile

Right below that, AstroManager shows the compact observatory and astronomy context:

  • the currently selected observatory
  • the currently relevant date
  • quick access to observatory-related context used across the app

The main navigation links then take you to pages such as:

Lower in the menu, you also get access to:

  • notifications (on mobile that is included in the Appbar)
  • settings
  • opening an additional app window on the Desktop App via Open New Window
  • sign out

At the very bottom, the menu also includes the legal and company links:

  • Imprint
  • Privacy
  • Terms
  • Contact
  • homepage link and support email
