Cloud Service¶

Cloud Service is the v1.2 workspace for cloud-backed capture review, calibration masters, export archives, and Integration Preview support.

Open it from the Images dashboard and select the Cloud Service tab.

What Cloud Service Stores¶

Cloud Service can store:

• uploaded image subs
• generated preview files
• integration previews
• master darks and master flats
• export archives, including ZIP downloads
• metadata used for quota, calibration matching, and storage management

Cloud Service is designed for active projects and review workflows. Keep a separate long-term archive for your permanent raw data.

Storage Tiers¶

Every AstroManager user receives 20 GB of Cloud Service storage for free.

Optional paid tiers are available when active projects need more space:

Upload Rules¶

Cloud uploads are controlled at target level.

When creating or editing a scheduled target, use Cloud Capture Uploads and enable full-quality cloud uploads for captures linked to this scheduled target.

When this is disabled, the target keeps thumbnail-only sync even if the account and client support full-quality cloud uploads.

Uploads can also be configured per client and can use an offset after astronomical twilight ends. That allows a capture PC to keep imaging first and upload full-quality images later, when the session is less sensitive.

Quota Behavior¶

The Cloud Service summary shows the active tier, used storage, object count, and billing/tier controls.

If quota is reached, AstroManager warns that image subs and calibration masters are no longer uploading to cloud. Local N.I.N.A. files stay on disk.

To recover space:

• delete unneeded cloud data from the Storage tab
• delete old export archives
• delete integration previews that are no longer useful
• disable or remove calibration masters you no longer use
• move to a larger storage tier

Cloud Workspace Tabs¶

The workspace has four main sections.

Storage¶

The Storage tab groups cloud usage by scheduled target and imaging goal.

Use it to:

• see full-quality images, previews, total bytes, calibrated count, and uncalibrated count
• search by target or imaging goal
• filter by client, target type, and calibration state
• sort by usage, capture count, recency, or name
• create export archives for a target or imaging goal
• delete cloud data for a target or goal

Deleting cloud data removes matching full-quality images, previews, integration previews, and export archives from cloud storage. It does not remove your local N.I.N.A. files.

Exports¶

The Exports tab lists prepared archive downloads.

Each export shows status, archive format, filters, target, imaging goal, file name, frame count, size, requested time, and expiry.

Use exports when you want to move a reviewed cloud set into local processing. Archive downloads can be ZIP or another available archive format depending on the generated export.

Masters¶

The Masters tab manages cloud calibration masters.

Use Upload Master to add master darks or master flats. Check the master metadata carefully:

• frame type
• equipment
• filter for flats
• exposure
• binning
• gain and offset
• temperature
• effective date range

Only useful, enabled masters should remain active, because masters count against quota and are used for matching in Integration Previews.

Calibration¶

The Calibration tab shows how captures match to available cloud calibration masters.

Use it to find targets or goals with missing calibration, check manual overrides, and verify whether the best available dark and flat masters are being used.
