Settings Overview

Settings is where AstroManager moves from a generic app into a workspace that matches your observatories, equipment, planning rules, and remote operation style.

Some settings are lightweight preferences. Others directly affect how targets are filtered, how the scheduler behaves, how captured images are reviewed, and how unattended nights are handled.

What Lives In Settings

Main settings areas include:

  • app preferences and general configuration
  • observatories and equipment
  • client and scheduler configuration
  • target and exposure templates
  • moon avoidance
  • image grading and runtime safety

Good First Priorities

If you are setting up AstroManager for the first time, focus on these first:

  1. Observatories
  2. Equipment
  3. Client Configuration

You usually do not need every advanced setting on day one.
