Notifications¶

Configure how AstroManager alerts you about important events and updates.

Accessing Notification Settings¶

Click the bell icon in the navigation menu, or go to Settings → Notifications.

In-App Notifications¶

• Appear in the notification center (bell icon)
• Badge count shows unread
• Click to view and dismiss

Browser Push¶

Enable browser push notifications:

1. Click "Enable Push Notifications"
2. Allow in browser prompt
3. Receive alerts even when tab is closed

Email Notifications¶

Configure email alerts for critical events:

1. Go to Settings → Notifications
2. Enable email for desired events
3. Set your notification email

Quiet Hours¶

Set times when notifications are suppressed:

1. Enable "Quiet Hours"
2. Set start time (e.g., 08:00)
3. Set end time (e.g., 20:00)
4. Critical alerts still delivered

Viewing Notifications¶

1. Click bell icon in navigation
2. View list of recent notifications
3. Click to see details

Marking as Read¶

• Click individual notification to mark read
• Click "Mark All Read" to clear all
• Read notifications remain in history

Notification History¶

View past notifications:

1. Click "View All" in notification panel
2. Filter by type or date
3. Search for specific notifications

Alert Thresholds¶

Guide Error Threshold¶

Set when to alert for guiding issues:

• RMS Threshold: Arcseconds (e.g., 2.0")
• Duration: How long before alerting (e.g., 5 min)

Focus Drift Threshold¶

Alert for focus issues:

• HFR Change: Percentage increase (e.g., 20%)
• Position Change: Steps from optimal (e.g., 50)
