Client Configuration¶
Client Configuration is where you define the imaging PC or telescope-side client that connects AstroManager to a real observatory setup.
What A Client Is¶
A client is defined for one observatory and equipment combination.
In simple terms, it represents the imaging PC at that telescope where software such as N.I.N.A. runs and connects back to AstroManager through the AstroManager plugin.
What You Configure Here¶
For each client, you define:
- the observatory
- the equipment
- the Image Grading policy (optional)
- the Runtime Safety policy
- the email addresses that should receive night report PDFs and runtime safety notifications
How It Works¶
The normal flow is:
- Create the client configuration in AstroManager.
- Copy the generated license key.
- Open the AstroManager plugin settings on the telescope PC and paste the key there.
- At that point, the license is still not enabled yet.
- We check the license request as soon as possible (usually within 24 hours).
- You receive an email at your account email address as soon as the client is activated.
After activation, the client can connect normally and start using the AstroManager Plugin.
Subscription And Client Limits¶
Each account includes 2 clients in the subscription.
Additional clients cost extra, and moving a client to a replacement PC is possible.
