This page outlines the requirements for using AstroManager's web application and N.I.N.A. plugin.
Web Application¶
The AstroManager web application runs in your browser and requires no local installation.

Screen Resolution¶
- Minimum: 1280 x 720 pixels
- Recommended: 1920 x 1080 pixels or higher
The application is responsive and works on tablets, but a desktop or laptop provides the best experience for detailed planning work.
Internet Connection¶
- Minimum: 2 Mbps for basic functionality
- Recommended: 10+ Mbps for smooth image loading and real-time updates
N.I.N.A. Plugin¶
The AstroManager plugin requires N.I.N.A. to be installed on your imaging computer.
N.I.N.A. Version¶

N.I.N.A. 2.x
The AstroManager plugin is designed for N.I.N.A. 3.x and is not compatible with N.I.N.A. 2.x versions.

Network Requirements¶
The plugin requires internet connectivity to communicate with AstroManager servers:
- Protocol: HTTPS (port 443)
- Endpoints:

Firewall Configuration
Ensure your firewall allows outbound HTTPS connections to the above domains.

AstroManager works with any equipment supported by N.I.N.A., including:

- Native drivers (e.g., EQMOD, Celestron, Sky-Watcher)
- INDI mounts (via INDI client)

- Target Uptime: 99.9%
- Planned Maintenance: Scheduled during low-usage periods with advance notice
- Status Page: Check service status at the web application

- All data is stored securely in the cloud
- Regular automated backups
- GDPR compliant data handling
- Data centers located in Europe
